     March 30   -    Wednesday  Review for Unit 4 & 5 Test - Part 1
                                                 Test will cover Galatians and Thessalonians

     March 31   -    Thursday      Unit 4 & 5 Test - Part 1

     April 1       -     Friday          Review for Unit 4 & 5 Test - Part 2

ELA ~ Ms. Kirk ~ March 29 - April 1, 2016

This week we will be reviewing our grammar, punctuation, reading comprehension and written expression.  Each of these areas will be part of the Iowa Assessment test next week (April 5-7).  I want each student to be equipped and prepared for the test. 

Math for Week of March 28- April 1, 2016

We will spend this short week reviewing math skills needed for our IA Test on April 5-7.

Physics March 28 - April 1, 2016

This week we will complete our study of forms of energy, but we will continue some labs related to forms of energy.  We will also begin a research project about a famous scientist.  Each student will draw a name from the "bowl of science" and search for facts.  Please expect an information packet about expectations at the end of this week.  There will be a generous amount of time to prepare at home!

Bible ~ Ms. Kirk ~ March 21 - 25, 2016

Unit 5 study – 1 & 2 Thessalonians (March 21-24, 2016)
In our final section study on 1 & 2 Thessalonians, we will discover the Godly characteristics of the Thessalonian church that made them an example to all the believers in Greece. As a result, we will draw meaningful personal applications from our study.

ELA ~ Ms. Kirk ~ March 21-25, 2016

This week we will review over coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.  We will go over and work with correlative conjunctions and conjunctive adverbs.  The students will incorporate correlative conjunctions and conjunctive adverbs into a simple writing project.  The rest of the week our focus will be on interjections and how they stand alone.  An interjection does not interact with other parts of speech. Students will diagram sentences and show the the different parts of speech and the relationships they participate in.  Examples:  a conjunction joins two words or two groups of words and a noun agrees with its verb

Physics March 7 - 11, 2016

This week we will learn about sound energy - compression and longitudinal waves that transport energy through a medium.  We will also identify properties of sound (amplitude, frequency, decibels, and pitch) and demonstrate sound vibrations using a variety of mediums.

This week we will continue studying and understanding Paul's 2nd missionary journey.  We will continue our geographical study of Paul, Silas, Timothy and Luke traveling together.
