We are continuing to work on verbs in more detail.  We will make eight observations, but in some cases nine with the verbs we will be working with. 

                            Identifying each verb as:

                           1.  regular or irregular

                           2. Action, linking or being

                          3.  Tense

                         4.  Person

                        5.  Number

                        6.  Mood

                        7.  Transitive or intransivtive

                       8.  Voice

Monday we will be working on regular and irregular verbs. We will read the Gettysburg Address and focus on verb tense.  The rest of the week we will be finishing our writing project.  The students will have the experience of peer editing.  This will provide the opportunity for the students to work collaboratively.  We will discuss the importance of the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing).   Through this writing process we will focus on writing fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and creative thinking skills.
